Yale University of Medicine performed a study in which 40 percent of the participating women who had ovulatory dysfunction also had clinically deficient levels of vitamin D. You can increase your vitamin D intake with supplements, fatty fish, and healthy sun exposure.

 

- Vitamin E is found in the fluids that surround developing eggs, and low levels can contribute to fertility problems. Healthy levels of vitamin E can help to improve reproductive health and function and reduce the risk of miscarriage. Sweet potatoes, leafy greens, avocados, nuts, and whole grains are good sources of vitamin E.

 

- Zinc participates in the production of progesterone and oestrogen. A zinc deficiency is one of the causes of infertility in women because it leads to hormonal imbalance, irregular periods, and ovarian issues. By increasing your zinc intake, you are helping your body to balance its reproductive hormones and achieve conception. Food sources of zinc include sunflower seeds, chickpeas, oysters, and beef.

 

These vitamins and minerals are excellent options to increase fertility in women, but there are many more nutrients that can help you get pregnant. - Zinc deficiencies contribute to impaired sperm production. Taking in a proper amount of zinc helps sperm to mature by developing the outer layer and tail of sperm, serving as a natural treatment of low sperm count and low sperm motility.
