Shed Pounds Faster and Healthier Without Working Harder

July 9, 2018

Many women think that the best way to lose weight fast is to follow a strict diet and spend hours at the gym, but this isn’t the case. You don’t necessarily need to work harder--or even longer--to achieve your weight loss goal as long as you use your time wisely.

Below are some weight loss tips for women to follow during a typical day:

Start Your Day with Healthy Proteins

If you are trying to lose weight, you should not be skipping breakfast. A protein-rich meal in the morning can help you feel full longer and resist any sugary snacks that come your way. Breakfast also jumpstarts your metabolism to burn more calories and provide the energy you need to keep moving.

Add Vegetables to Your Favorite Dishes

We all know that we should be eating vegetables to lose weight, but why? Vegetables are full of nutrients that balance your body’s functions. In particular, broccoli, artichokes, and peas have a rich fiber content to help you stay full after a meal. You can increase your vegetable intake for a healthy weight loss diet by scrambling broccoli and cauliflower with your eggs; blending a green breakfast smoothie; trading pasta for zucchini or spaghetti squash noodles; and slicing up avocados, carrots, or sweet potatoes for homemade fries.

Exercise Throughout the Day

If your schedule doesn’t allow for a full exercise routine, or chronic menopausal or fibromyalgia pain zaps your energy, try exercising in small amounts. Weight loss exercise for women can be as simple as performing crunches during TV commercials, gardening on the weekends, or dancing while making dinner. How hard you work out isn’t as important as staying vigilant in your efforts.

Turn Happy Hour into Healthy Hour

If you are in the habit of grabbing drinks or dinner with friends after work, why not use that time to go on a group walk or attend a fitness class for easy ways to lose weight together?

Practice Yoga

Calming practices such as yoga may not yield quick weight loss results, but they are an excellent method for sustaining healthy weight loss in the long run. Balancing mind and body can help you overcome food cravings and exercise your muscles without expending energy you don’t have.

Cut Yourself Off From Food at Night

The later you eat, the harder it is to stick to good diets to lose weight fast. To avoid the risk of late-night sugar binging, cut yourself off from food at a certain point each evening and focus on reaching your recommended calorie limit during the day.

Have Your Health Checked

Many women struggle with weight loss barriers related to their health, such as fibromyalgia, menopause, and hypothyroidism. It’s important to see a wellness professional to ensure that your rapid weight loss isn’t being impeded by and underlying health condition.

A healthy weight is different for every woman, which is why I encourage you to contact Sage Nutrition and Healing Center in Little Silver, New Jersey, to develop custom New Jersey weight loss programs for women.
